Not sure of my actual introduction to Weather Report, but I had known about them for years. Finally started buying some of their albums about 10 years ago. Though I know one of my co-workers helped fuel my interest in them even more, mostly by filling in the blanks of my collection digitally.

About a year ago I bought a couple of electronica albums and as Amazon always does, it starts giving you recommendations of other material that you might like based on your purchases or rankings. Zero One came up. “Ozone” is the fourth album by the project, and was the last one I purchased. It is also the best.

Tracks:
- Force Ten
- Time Stand Still
- Open Secrets
- Second Nature
- Prime Mover
- Lock and Key
- Mission
- Turn the Page
- Tai Shan
- High Water
It’s time for another Rush album. Not bad if you think about it. Three of the first 75 “favorite albums” are by Rush. Shows my very high interest in the band, but doesn’t make me out to be a total geek or fanboy (which is probably indeed the case). I usually mention in this section of how I came across the artist. A reminder to those reading is...

- Royal Peppermint Forest
- Ghost
- Lux (RPF Rebuild)

- Season
I don’t know how or why, but I came across Kiln one day. And then I bought this CD, which is actually an EP, for all the wrong reasons. The group/band is from the metro Detroit area. I thought the project name was very cool, and the album cover and album title were even cooler. I heard one 30 second sample of the first song and decided to buy the album. Thankfully the insides were as good, if not better, then the cover.

This is the band’s second album, from 1994, but it was the single “Shine” from their debut album the year prior that brought Collective Soul into mine, and everyone else’s consciousness. I saw them twice for free before the release of this album. I liked...

I stumbled onto this band because of the drummer, Barrett Martin. Martin was the drummer for the Screaming Trees during their heyday in the early 90′s (Seattle grunge scene), and then more importantly to me, was part of the “super group” Mad Season....
