Saw this on Roger’s blog, so I figured I would give it a go.
You are a Firebender!
The first firebenders were taught by Dragons. To the Fire Nation, fire represented destruction and anger was central to firebending. True firebending involves balance, emotional stability and inner calm, as fire truly represents life. Firebending draws its power from the sun and is stronger during the day, strongest during Sozin’s comet which arrives every hundred years. Firebending is not possible during a solar eclipse.

So it’s been a while. I used to do this more often. Been busy lately. But it’s time to “Ask Scooter Anything” again. Just post your questions in the comments section of this post, and a week or so later (maybe even earlier) I will post my answers. You can ask anything you want, and I will answer the best I can. I do reserve the right to be a smart-ass though.

Marcia and I will be in New York most of the day. We will be attending the “Colbert Report” tonight. We need to get there early as tickets are free, and though we are on the list for the show, it’s still no guarantee. We also hope to spend a little time walking around and will be grabbing a late lunch / early dinner before taking our place in line.

I saw THIS at Roger’s web site. Thought I find out how my site ranked.

Obviously if I had talked about the NHL canceled season and it’s illustrious commissioner Gary Bettman more, that number would have been a lot higher.

My 20th year high school reunion is coming up soon. I won’t be attending. Given the lack of vacation time, and more importantly the cost of gas and just about everything else, it’s just not worth it. (Especially if it’s too expensive to go on vacation or visit my family.) I went to my 10th year reunion and it was pretty good. If there is a 25th, I will try a little harder to attend. But this year, it’s just not worth it. No offense to my former classmates. Heck, most probably won’t care that I’m not there anyway.
Between the reunion and a conversation that Marcia and I had a few days ago, it got me to thinking about my days in high school. The teachers I had. My fellow students. Just everything...

Amazon introduced a new item that can be added to your browser. You drag it over your bookmarks toolbar, and instantly a new item will appear that says “Add to Wish List”. Anytime you see something on a site that you would like, you can add it to your Amazon Wish List by clicking the new button.
I thought this was very cool, because I have found a few items over time (and have forgotten some along the way) that weren’t available at Amazon, yet they were things I have wanted. Obviously, by being able to add these items, you can have just one list, regardless of what site they are found on. Sooooooo …. for those of you that are looking for Birthday gift ideas, or later on Christmas gift ideas, you can now...

We live in a place called Lower Saucon Township. They do the screwiest things with their roads. Every summer they dump oil and gravel on the roads to “repave” them. The gravel sticks to the oil, and with normal traffic riding over it all, it flattens out. Now this is annoying, because they do this whether the road needs it or not.
What is even more stupid is what they do every few years before. They actually take the time to put down new asphalt! This one particular road I drive every day back and forth to work just had this done. It was repaved with new asphalt a few months ago. They finally got around to painting the yellow lines in the middle literally two weeks ago. So now we have a very nice, smooth, and quiet...

Marcia is quitting her job. And with good reason. Since she stepped into that church, they have given her nothing but trouble.
It seems that those on the council, running the church, are more interested in keeping their little clique together then actually worrying about what they are there for in the first place: worshiping God. Most of the council members are also in the choir, and seemed a bit peeved that Marcia was making them work. They said they wanted change, and when Marcia started doing things the way she has at all the other churches she has worked at, they started balking. (We are not talking about actually changing things that she can’t change, she knows the limits.) It seemed like every time she would play...

On Sunday I was downstairs reading. My Mother-In-Law’s basement is fully finished and is a walk-out, including being on the same level as the garage. While in my favorite chair to read, I caught sight through the door-wall something moving. It was a small fawn. I quickly went upstairs to grab the camera. By the time I got back, another fawn had joined them, and so did their mother.

So since the Red Wings beat the Penguins in the Cup Finals, I obviously won the bet I had with the guy at work. And my prize? COOKIES!!

They are supposedly only found in the Pittsburgh area. I had my choice of face, and went with the pirate look. Mostly because I thought it would be a bit fun, and Marcia has a thing for pirates.
They were quite tasty.
