So the phone interview yesterday afternoon went pretty good. I personally think it went very good, but I am trying to be cautiously optimistic. The result is that the company wants to interview me in person this coming Friday. It’s a five hour drive, but Marcia, Nigel, and Ian will be coming along. There is hotel right behind their office and the company is picking up the tab.
I was impressed with the companies history. They have not been effected by the recession, and as a matter of fact are looking to expand more then just the positions they are interviewing for now. What we talked about gave me a good feeling. But again, I am being cautious is my excitement. I felt really good about the first interview I had after being laid off, and felt very good walking away, yet was not offered the job. Hopefully this will be different.

Good Luck & Watch your speed on this trip….. It’s a lot of turnpike and MANY speed traps (State Troopers) along the way.

Yes, start early, be on time, and double check your GPS with Mapquest or something else. Good luck.
