Most of you probably already know, but my second son was born yesterday. His name is Ian Wesley. For those into statistics, like I am, since I’m a baseball fan (“Well Joe, he’s hitting .372 on Tuesday against lefties with runners on first and third.), here they are: Born at 5:41 pm, weighing 8 pounds even, and 20 inches long. And now, for some pictures.
Nigel is more excited then he seems in the picture. He was just overwhelmed by the equipment in the room. And at the time this picture was taken, he was rather tired. But he has been saying he wants the baby to come home, and made sure he gave Ian a kiss before we left.
At the time of writing this, both Marcia and Ian are doing well. Ian’s blood sugar has been good. This was a sticky point with Nigel that landed him in the NICU. But he is doing good so far, and I am sure Marcia is very, very tired after not getting much sleep the night before.
More pictures later after another visit later today.

Oh my gosh! Congrats.

At least in the pics, he seems to be favoring his left hand. Southpaws are always in demand in baseball, but not so much as a QB.
Anyway, congrats! Try to get some sleep.

A .372 average? He’s hitting better than Eric Bruntlett!
Mazel Tov!

Thanks all!
Roger: I agree with you. Look at Jamie Moyer and Randy Johnson. If either was a rightie, they would have retired years ago.
Brian: Anybody can have better numbers then most of the Phillies with men in scoring position. They may lead the league in home runs and runs scored, but they also have to be close to leading the league in runners stranded.

Aww Congrats Scott, he’s just adorable.
