So I forgot to post that we were leaving for Detroit. We arrived yesterday early afternoon. Lots of rain on the first part through PA.
I will eventually catch up with everything. Comments have been made that I haven’t had time to follow up with. But two I want to remark here quickly.
Roger: As embarrassed as I am to say this, I don’t know the story about the Louisville Slugger. However, I did work with a guy during my six month in Louisville who was a grandson or great-grandson of the Hillerich family. If I remember correctly, he didn’t want to get into the “family business”. He was an excellent project manager though.
John: When I read the news of Hossa signing with the Hawks in the USA Today I got at the hotel on Thursday morning, all I could do was laugh and think of you. I honestly think this will help the Hawks. Sure, losing Khabibulin is not good, but there are plenty of YOUNGER, capable goalies out there. With the strong skating core the Hawks have, they should still do well with a “lesser” goalie between the pipes. As a Wings’ fan, I fear the Hawks next year.

Will see…… I’m not sold on Hossa, but I have to live with him for the next 12 years.
Safe travels,
