HERE is another Meme I stole from Electronic Cerebrectomy that I thought would be interesting to play along with. The following is a list of things that you are supposed to bold if you have experienced them. Then there is just a round of other questions that aren’t related to the first group (not sure why, but what the heck).
————————-
Gone on a blind date? Three as a matter of fact. One was bad. One I would have liked to turn out better, but was still good. One was great. None made much of an impact in the long term though.
Skipped school?
Watched someone die?
Been to Canada? Worked there for six months, along with going to Windsor to hang out at a bar or at a friend’s house.
Been to Mexico?
Been to Florida? Twice.
Been to Africa?
Been on a plane? Too many times. And so many times that I lost count.
Been lost? Maybe not lost, but not being able to find the place I was looking for.
Gone to Washington, DC? Once, for my cousin’s wedding. Hope to go again.
Swam in the ocean? In the Atlantic during two different vacations. (Put my hand in the Pacific during a business trip.)
Broken a bone? A kid broke my nose for me back in my middle school days.
Been in a traffic accident? A few. Nothing serious.
Cried yourself to sleep? I am sure I have at some point when I was a kid.
Been on TV? Three times (that I know of). At a Detroit Pistons game in 1988 (vs. the Boston Celtics). At the Michigan-Ohio State football game in 1995. And on the July 28, 2008 episode of “The Colbert Report”.
Stole traffic signs?
Played cops and robbers?
Recently colored with crayons? With Nigel, of course.
Sang Karaoke?
Paid for a meal with coins only?
Done something you told yourself you wouldn’t? There are many, I am sure, like going on roller coasters for example.
Made prank phone calls?
Laughed until some kind of beverage came out of your nose & elsewhere? I am sure this happens to every 1 in 3 kids during their school days.
Caught a snowflake on your tongue? Know I have, though I can’t remember the last time.
Danced in the rain? Long time ago on a very hot summer day.
Written a letter to Santa Claus?
Been kissed under the mistletoe? A few times.
Watched the sunrise with someone? Once in Myrtle Beach.
Blown bubbles? Nigel loves bubbles, so I have done this many times in the last year.
Gone ice-skating? Yes. I even tried that game they play on ice. What’s that called again?
Been skinny dipping outdoors?
Gone to the movies? Not sure why this question is in this meme. It’s nowhere near as exclusive as the other questions. Of course I have been to the movies. Three or four times this past year when being a parent doesn’t normally allow you those chances.
Have a nickname? A few. Scooter was the most popular and most recent. Was mostly known as Fab during high school.
Body piercings? My left ear has been pierced since December of 1990.
And now, just a bunch of random questions.
Other Questions:
1. Favorite drink?
Not sure how to answer this one. Everyday I have one caffeinated soda in the morning, and sometimes I have a beer with or after dinner. Other then that, I have been drinking water. I could list my favorite beers, but that just seems like too much for this.
2. How much do you love your job?
As much as one can, I guess. Given that I can’t read books, and spend time with my family for a living, then it’s a good job. It can be very challenging, which sometimes is very good and exciting, and other times can be a pain.
3. Birthplace?
Detroit, Michigan.
4. Favorite vacation spot?
I am not sure I have an absolute favorite. I just like having a vacation to get away.
5. Ever eaten just cookies for dinner?
No, but that’s doesn’t mean I haven’t wanted to.
6. Favorite pie?
Dutch apple pie. Really, any kind of apple pie is good. So long as it doesn’t have raisins.
7. Favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving used to be. I preferred it more because it was more about being together. Christmas sometimes can be a hassle, and lets face it, it’s expensive, too. But watching Nigel’s eyes light up and seeing him get so excited by some of his recent birthday gifts, I am sure Christmas will start winning out.
8. Favorite food?
Pizza has to be tops. You can do so much with it. Other then Domino’s, it’s really tough to get a bad pizza.
9. Favorite smell?
A wood fire on a cool autumn day. Those spiced pine cones during Christmas. Fresh baked cookies. Nigel’s hair when he snuggles up with me on the couch to watch Spongebob.
10. How do you relax?
Read a book, watch a movie, listen to music. But mostly read a book.
11. How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Not sure. I have hopes of what I will be in 10 years. Hopefully wiser. Hopefully better off financially. Hopefully in good health.
