Saw this last night sometime during the Jeopardy! broadcast.

How much better could he have said all that? He couldn’t. And it’s just not agreeing with this two minute ad, but the plan he has as well.

Again, I don’t like to get involved in politics on my site, but this man’s possible election to this country’s highest office has become an important...

“… you can’t avoid pain, but you can choose to avoid misery.” - Hiram Smith

(Thanks to Roger for this one.)

Still in the middle of my blogging break. But had to pass along a little humor that I saw in the comics this morning.

Sometimes I swear it really feels like that is what government does.

Marcia continues to do well. We still have her appointment with the Headache Center coming up this Thursday (as she pointed out to me that I posted wrongly). But her therapy is going well.

As for her job, the salary is good. Now she just needs to supply them with references. But all appears now that she has the job.

Nigel seems to be having fun at day care, but cries at first. Though Friday he was gung-ho to leave when I got there. He ran up to me screaming “Dada!”, turned around, grabbed his blanket, waved and said buh-bye to the other kids, and then bolted for the door.

My project is going alright. A couple of setbacks though. Hopefully things will come together this week. But I also have a cold....

I read the most recent COLUMN by Roland S. Martin. He’s a nationally syndicated columnist and hosts a radio show. Maybe more familiar to others, he appears on CNN quite often.

The more and more I read this man’s commentary, the more and more I think this guy has to be one of the most well centered individual’s on the political scene. Even though he supports Sen. Obama, he seems to always position the issues down the middle. He says what needs to be said, and calls all candidates out to step up.

OK, so I try not to talk about politics on my site. But this year it is just too important to set aside.

Due to Marcia’s therapy program we have had to put Nigel in day care. This will last through her therapy, which will probably end next week. And it is only three days a week. We hope to keep him there on Fridays though, giving Marcia time to do other things, but also given some of her teaching engagements. Plus, it should benefit Nigel, being around other children and being in an atmosphere where they are “teaching” him things.

But dropping Nigel off at day care has to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. To walk away from your child when he is crying for you just plain hurts. And it was even tougher this morning (the second day) because he sort of knew what was coming. We were hoping he would be...

My brother-in-law David alerted me to the death of a favorite musician of mine, Richard Wright, the keyboardist and a founding member of Pink Floyd. He died of cancer at the age of 65 yesterday.

There were other keyboardists that could play circles around him, but his contributions in songwriting and arranging that added to the sound of Floyd were unprecedented. I feel his role in the band was underrated.

Yesterday from the comic strip “Get Fuzzy” by Darby Conley.

There have been a few things floating around the internet in regards to Monty Python alum Michael Palin being a part of the Republic presidential ticket, but I found this the funniest, being a fan of this strip.

ADDED!

Here’s today’s.

Recently I finished reading “A Season of Strange Dreams” by C. S. Thompson.

From Amazon.Com, here is the description:

Jim Rankin is Noctiviganti, a man who can visit other worlds in his dreams. Five years ago he disappeared from his hometown, Nottamun, unable to face the horrors he found there. Now his masters are calling him back to Nottamun, a place where black magic and gangsterism go hand in hand. The place where he left the girl he loved, and where his mistake cost his best friend’s life. Now he must be prepared to sacrifice his own.

Marcia is going through a really tough time in her life right now. And though many of these issues have plagued her for a long time, quite a few of them have come to the surface all at the same time. The last week has been really bad. If it wasn’t for the posts that I had put in well ahead of time, last week and the beginning of this one would have been post-less. I am pages away from finishing a book and will be posting the review soon after. But other then that it may be a little sparse for the next couple of weeks while Marcia seeks the help she needs.
