Was told about an interesting web site a couple of days ago. The site is called FieldReport.Com and allows people to write stories about events in their life. The idea is to have members review/rate the stories and the member with the highest score after a certain amount of time wins cash prizes.

I have it on good authority that the site is legit. I am not sure if I will be posting any “field reports” myself. It would be nice to win money for writing, but I don’t see myself having anything interesting enough, or well written enough, to win. But I have enjoyed reading some of the reports.

I was wondering about this as I had gotten an e-mail to participate. What, generally, is your source of its legitimacy?

The woman I received the email from is someone I trust. I have traded books with her via BookMooch. She has also had a lot of contests and such on her site. Plus, her husband is associated with the site. She doesn’t seem like the type to do something like that and it not be legitimate. I also received my gift certificate already for posting about the site.
