This past weekend Marcia and I watched the movie version of “Persepolis”. I recently read and REVIEWED the book.

As with the book, the film follows Marjane Satrapi’s life from about the age of 10 (1978), living in Tehran, Iran, to her parents moving her to Vienna, Austria to get away from the war with Iraq, back to her return and marriage in Tehran at the age of 21.

Satrapi’s book, though non-fiction, would be best described as a graphic novel. The movie, as it should be, is animated...
