On Sunday afternoon, Marcia and I watched the movie “The Namesake” starring Kal Penn, Irfan Khan, and Tabu.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name written by Jhumpa Lahiri. I read and REVIEWED it a little over a year ago.

Now, most movies that say the story is “based” on the book, it means that there were some/many creative liberties taken to make it more “Hollywood” for viewers to enjoy. This movie didn’t stray hardly, if at all, from the book. It follows the Ganguli...
