On Sunday afternoon, we had Nigel’s Birthday Party.

Marcia ordered Nigel some balloons for the shindig, which have become significant since Nigel loves them so much now. The first set of pictures are of him playing with the balloons before taking his nap.

When he woke up, his cousins Ryan and Emily had arrived. Since Nigel has become a big fan of Mickey Mouse, two of the balloons Marcia got had Mickey on them. He found one, but was quickly brought to tears because Emily was trying to take the balloon from him. (His crying was mostly due to having just woken up.) To avoid any other problems, I tied that one balloon to Nigel’s pants so it would always be with him. It became quite cute to watch him run around with the balloon trailing behind him.

Two of the boys in attendance were twins Declan and Owen. They are the younger brothers of two of Marcia’s piano students. They are both 4 years old, and were eager to help Nigel open presents. It worked out pretty well, since Nigel got distracted with a couple of presents, not being interested in opening much of anything after them.

Just because I am a neat freak and try to be organized, here are more pictures that were taken with the camera rotated 90 degrees.

Many thank you’s to all that helped. Many brought food to help feed all the guests. Many helped in setting things up and passing out food during the party. And thank you for all the wonderful gifts that Nigel received, and that includes those relatives of mine that couldn’t attend the party (for obvious reasons) but still sent a card/gift. The biggest thank you though goes to my Mother-In-Law for letting us have the party at her house.
