So it has been snowing all day today (thus far). No accumulation really. However, it is depressing. I love autumn. And we have essentially had none. September was hot and muggy, and so was a good portion of October. I remember being outside with Nigel less then a month ago while both of us were wearing shorts and tank tops because it was so hot.
Anyway, Nigel seems to love the snow. While Marcia was getting his lunch ready, he was standing at the door wall watching the snow come down. He was so mesmerized by it, Marcia pulled up two chairs and the two of them sat watching the snow fall while he ate. It was cute. (And no, I didn’t get any pictures … didn’t think about it at the time.)
Breakfast turned out to be very good this morning. Marcia made pancakes from a special mix with flax seeds in it. They were very good. Nigel loved them, having two pancakes himself, along with a piece of sausage. I can’t remember a time when he ate so much for breakfast. Of course, he was in one of those moods yesterday and didn’t eat much at all.
Now we are awaiting the snow to stop, and looking forward to some warmer weather that is forecast in the following week. Looks like Thanksgiving is shaping up to be a pretty decent day here. Let’s hope it lives up to it’s billing.

We’re supposed to get snow on Thursday and Friday. Which makes me think that our Thanksgiving guest, who will be driving 35 miles up into mountains to get to us, will have to spend the night.
Isn’t it magical to watch little kids and their sense of wonder about the world? It’s like getting a chance to appreciate those little things like snow all over again.
