Here are some pictures of Nigel for y’all. First we have him trying on his new suit.
He will soon be taking pictures in them for his 2nd birthday, which is quickly approaching. (In 11 days from this posting.)
Nigel’s hair is getting long now. He is probably in need of a trim. However, with combing it, it still looks pretty good. But Marcia couldn’t resist putting it in a ponytail a couple of days ago.
As with most kids, Nigel finds playing with the box that toys came in just as fun, if not more, then actually playing with the toy itself.
Finally we have a picture of Nigel enjoying his morning milk.
And when I say milk, I mean regular old milk. No more soy for this boy!
Nigel is also picking up on saying “Hello” again, which went away for a while. But more appropriately, he is taking the phone, whether to talk to me or Grandma back in Detroit, and saying it.
He is also saying “Night night” again. But what is even cuter are the times he goes to take a nap willingly, or to bed for the night, he will usually wave to us and say it.
We are also making Nigel take three hour naps now. He had a string of cranky days that just didn’t seem to end. But every time he got a nap of more then 2 1/2 hours, he was very happy upon waking. It has worked well, except for yesterday. It is also very easy to get frustrated at those times, because Nigel whines an awful lot. Since he is not talking yet, he can’t tell us what is wrong or what he wants. (We are trying to find methods to help him, and even have a book being delivered as I post about the subject.) Sometimes though I think it’s just crankiness in general and that he doesn’t know what he wants. Especially when he is hungry. He will point to everything, yet push everything away. Usually at these moments, Marcia or I will shove some food into his mouth, and almost instantly he will stop whining and start eating whatever is in front of him on his own accord.
All three of us still have so much yet to learn.

I can’t believe how BIG he is. I can’t wait to see him at Christmas time.
