“The Tooth Fairy” by Graham Joyce Favorite Albums - Part 64
Nov 07

Over a year ago, I mooched a book from a fellow BookMooch member. She goes by the name of Dewey. The book I requested was listed as a hardback, but was actually a mass market paperback. I was disappointed that the book was listed wrong by mistake, however the book I received was still in excellent condition. Dewey was genuinely sorry for the mistake, not noticing the error. To make up for it, she found my Amazon Wish List and purchased one of the items from it, having it sent to me. After that, I can’t remember which, but one of us added the other to our “friends list” on the site, and the other accepted.

Looking at her profile, I found the link to her blog, and over recent months have noticed something that she has organized which is called “Bookworms Carnival”. Some one host each month, setting a theme or category of books to read, and then accepts reviews, posting the links on their site. I have been too wrapped up in other things, but was reminded recently after a bried email exchange with Dewey. I have now set it up that I will be hosting the May 2008 (I believe it will be “Edition 11″ of the Carnival), and the theme/category will be contemporary/urban fantasy.

I am looking forward to doing this, going through and reading the reviews. I also hope to find many other good books to read. And a help to those wanting to participate, but not knowing what is out there that fits the theme, you can look at the PAGE that I have set up for it where I have some examples.

Thanks to Dewey for organizing all of this. I hope to submit a review for an edition before I host mine.
