My thoughts about Clive Barker will have to wait. I started reading “Weaveworld” a couple of days ago, and just can’t get into it right now. It’s a long book and there is a lot of stuff in the beginning that is all introduction to characters. I have only gotten through the first 44 pages, and it has taken me quite a while, and I just don’t have the patience right now to continue reading. I think this will have to wait a few months. And since “Imajica” is even longer, there is no way I want to tackle that one right now. So I am switching to another book. Still trying to decide which one. I have started one, but until I am satisfied I will continue, I am not going to update my site.
Red Sox Sweep?
Myself and Roger both picked the Red Sox to beat the Rockies in six games. After seeing a good portion of Game 1, and seeing what happened in highlights in Game 2, I have a feeling now that the Sox are going to sweep the Rox. Here’s hoping though that the Rockies turn things around at home and make this an exciting series.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the National Lacrosse League was canceling their season due to the owners and players’ union not agreeing on a new contract. It seemed odd, since they still had two months left before any “training camps” would happen (most of the players have real day jobs, so there might not be much of a training camp). However, they started negotiating and got things back together. There are still some issues though. Some of the teams may not participate this season due to already closing up shop. And the expansion team (Boston Blazers) which were supposed to start playing this season will wait until next season to actually start. But at least there will be a chance for me to see the Philadelphia Wings play. They are the only team that has played in all of the 21 seasons in the league’s history (which includes the days they were known at the Major Indoor Lacrosse League). Of course, I have been saying how I wanted to see a Wings games since I moved the Pennsylvania and have yet to go.
