Wow! The Casey Power, my team’s opponent this past weekend, racked up 874 points against me! And yet, I still won by 149 points. My team became the first to go over the 1000 point barrier since the institution of the new captain-double-scoring rule took effect. (However, the Edmonton Bombers scored 1000 points even last year in the Grand Final without the benefit of the captain rule.) Every player but one (Brendon Goddard of the St. Kilda Saints with 87 points) scored over 100 points. It turned out to be quite a week for my team.
This week I play the Hippo Regius Friars. They are in last place, and it would probably be my luck that my team falters greatly. Though better to do it now then in the playoffs.
