Last night Marcia and I attended the Bruce Hornsby concert in Princeton, New Jersey. It was a rather unique concert, seeing that is was just Bruce and a piano.
The concert was at the McCarter Theater on the campus of Princeton University and turned out to be a wonderful venue for such a show. It is a very small place, where even in the balcony where we were sitting, felt right on top of the stage.
Bruce played a wide range of tunes, and really showed his sense of humor. And even when playing his hits (”The Way It Is”, “Mandolin Rain”, “The Valley Road”, etc.) he changed up the tempo or cadence, or just...
