Yesterday I got home from work before Marcia and Nigel got home from visiting her sister Catherine and baby Colin. I heard them pull up, so I headed out to help bring Nigel in. I opened the back door and started unbuckling him asking him how he was doing, not expecting an answer. However, he looked at me and smiled then said “Dada.”
It was very clear, not just babbling that sounded like it. I was so shocked, especially after the doctor told Marcia the day before that he should be saying up to five words now and we thought that was too soon. I got him to say it one more time before I took his jacket off and got him settled, but that was it for the day. It really made my day.
