Marcia and I took Nigel for his “big head” MRI this morning. It went a bit better then I expected, though we won’t know the results until Friday.
As I may have mentioned before, this was precautionary. The neurologist saw no signs through his examinations that anything was wrong with Nigel. But to be sure, and to stop the pediatricians from sending Nigel to him again, he suggested that we schedule the MRI.
Because of Nigel’s age, they had to sedate him, basically putting him asleep. Little children can’t stand still very long, and he needed to be still for just over 45 minutes for the scan. The nurse and nurse practitioner both told us that it could take more then the normal dose of sedatives...
