“Fall On Your Knees” by Ann-Marie MacDonald “Scary Movie 4 “

Catching up, and not sure when I will be able to again.

Internet Connection
As is probably obvious, Marcia and I haven’t established an internet connection yet. That will be coming soon however. I was all set to use the area’s DSL, but the cost was just a few dollars lower then cable. So I had to talk to my Mother-In-Law about it before pursuing. I will be calling sometime today, and hopefully will be back on-line at home later this week.

The Cardinals Defeat The Tigers 4 Games To 1
I watched as much as I could of each game. Unfortunately sleep took me many times. I strained to stay awake during Game 5, but fell asleep on the couch sometime in the 8th inning. When I woke up, someone was interviewing the Cardinals’ Scott Spezio, and he was wearing a “World Champs” hat. I quickly shut it off and went to bed.

I hated watching the Tigers play so bad during the World Series, but the bright side is that they made it to the World Series in the first place. Congrats to the Ilitch family for turning around another floundering Detroit sports franchise. And like the Red Wings for many years, the future still looks very bright.

New Job
The new job is going very well. I already like the place better then my short stay at the previous place. The group is friendlier, the software and hardware is what I expected and wanted (not from the stone age), there is overtime available to me (and yet not mandatory), and the work is going to be very interesting. So all is well. I have talked to the chief engineer a couple of times, and he expects to hire me as a full-time employee in mid April. (Keeping my fingers crossed, knocking on wood, and all other forms of superstitions being used here.)

Nigel
Nigel is doing well. Flying around in his walker. We raised it a level because he was getting so tall, and it should force him more to balance (we hope). It slowed him down a bit, but not much.

He is getting a little picky about food. But it’s not so much that he doesn’t want certain things, just not at those moments. Like one day Marcia tries to give him one of the chicken based foods and a certain veggie, but he doesn’t want it. However a couple of days later he gobbles those two up. Can’t wait until he can talk and tell us that he isn’t in the mood for something. Though then again maybe I shouldn’t be wishing that.
