Scooter Chronicles

So the interview on Monday went extremely well. So well that I was offered the job before leaving. I gave notice today at my current employer, so my last day is October 24th. I am very excited about this move. As I said, this was the company I wanted to work for in the first place. It will get me back to what I was doing a couple of months ago, designing with a high level of detail. I will also be using the same two software programs that I was using two months ago. And there is another raise involved.

Mostly, this gives me a job in Bethlehem opening up the way to Marcia, Nigel, Molson, and I moving there. We will be staying with my Mother-In-Law temporarily until we get a few bills under control. Then when spring breaks we...

Back on Saturday I finished reading “The Namesake” by Jhumpa Lahiri. This was her debut novel, and second publication after the Pulitzer Prize winning short story collection “Interpreter of Maladies”, which I read and REVIEWED back in April.

When I had read the description at the time that Amazon.Com had about the book, I was intrigued. It was before I had read “Interpreter of Maladies”. For some reason I saw a lot of humor coming from this, but in fact was not the case. Not that it’s a melancholy story either....
