Part of the reason I haven’t been blogging lately is because my mind has been consumed with something important. I am leaving my current employer. I have worked for Clayton H. Landis Co., Inc. (aka CHL Systems) for just over five years. But over the last couple of years things have become a little disorientated for me. There are two sides of the engineering department, and that in itself is the first issue I have. One side does steel mill work (the side I have been on), and it keeps adding levels of management. I have been depended on to design and detail most of the equipment we have done, and it has worn on me. Especially after seeing ads for companies looking to hire people with less...

Back on Saturday afternoon I found some time to watch a movie. Now I am finally posting about it. Cripes, I am falling behind! It was the wonderful little adventure called “Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle”.

In many respects, the title of the movie says it all. Harold and Kumar are roomies living in New York. They both smoke reefer, and this particular night while “hitting it”, they see a White Castle commercial. They decide they have to go. The movie then follows them on their little adventure.
The poster image above says that this movie is from the same people that brought you “Dude, Where’s...

When my former employer sent me to live and work in Louisville, Kentucky back in late summer of 1997, I was following four fellow employees who had been sent about six months earlier. There was too much work for them, so I was sent to help out. Before I got there though, the company hired another employee who was from the Louisville area. His name was Rodney.
When our contract was up and the job complete, all five of us from Detroit headed back, and Rodney and his wife Olivia (a Kentucky native) packed up and headed north with us. Rodney and I became pretty good friends, and since I was single I helped show them around the area. Eventually the two of us were contracted to GM and would spend a little over a year in Dayton, Ohio...

So now that Nigel is developing a bit of a personality, there have been a few things we noticed that Nigel really likes.
The biggest thing right now is the Classical Baby DVD’s. There are five episodes that HBO has made, but the DVD collection only has three of them. However, Nigel just loves them. When we sit him down on the couch to put one of them in, as soon as he sees the DVD symbol on the TV he starts going nuts. The Dance show is probably his favorite, since Marcia dances him around the room. Nigel likes these so much that he even starts...

Some pictures of the Munchkin Man from this weekend.
First one of Nigel and Mommy from last night. Nigel is beginning to like snuggling under blankets.
The following are some other of him in his walker or on the couch.
Marcia and I are celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary today. Though we are keeping it low key. Just staying at home, spending time with Nigel, maybe ordering out, and probably watching a movie.
I should be posting a big update this weekend. Gotta a few things going on that I want to blog about, but haven’t had the time to do it.
I may comment more, but had to at least post this. According the a Detroit Free Press ARTICLE Nicklas Lidstrom will be the next captain for the Red Wings. Also in the article it mentions that Peter Forsberg may be the next captain for the Flyers.
Gonna be running around today (not at work), but hopefully I will find time to comment about both of these decisions.
I am sure there are a lot of Philadelphia Freedom fans wondering and waiting to find out how their favorite Aussie Rules football finished the season. Well, they lost the final game against the first place Edmonton Bombers (bad luck, but I was the one that made the schedule so I have no one to blame), therefore we missed the playoffs. Them’s the breaks. Though even if I had won, Hanover and Sidney won their games eliminating me that way.
It was a very exciting season though, and a very interesting playoff chase. Hopefully next year I will make it. But since my team was 1-8 after nine games last year, and just put enough together to finish 8-12, I am very happy with the way my team developed and performed.
Here is...

Here they finally are!
Nigel has been trying to hold his own bottle. He still needs help, but the desire is surely there.
Since Molson was coming with up to the Valley last weekend, Marcia sat in the back with Nigel. Here is one of a few shots that she took of him looking rather pensive.
Next is one of the early shots of Kathryn with Nigel.
Later on after some napping Nigel got to try on his Uncle Rick’s ballcap.
I’ve been rather busy lately, so no blogging. Most of what I have been busy with is something that I don’t want to post about at this time. I probably will when things clear up.
I promise to post those pictures of this past weekend during Marcia’s Virginia relatives’ visit. There are some real cute ones, especially of Nigel and Marcia’s cousin Kathryn.
A few other notes, just to keep things busy here:
The birthday card from my sister Jenn was another funny, beer related one. It said: “Some people say that you are a hard person to buy a gift for. Obviously they don’t know where to buy beer.” What adds to the humor of this card is...
