Still Screamin’
Nigel is still screaming. And as much as Marcia and I love him, and know what a blessing is his, it is still getting very annoying. We try to ignore him, but that doesn’t work. He is not looking for attention. He is just busy playing with whatever it is he is playing with, and enjoys screaming his lungs out while doing it. The only thing that I have found that works is making noise back at him. Of course I don’t do it as loud. But he either gets fascinated with the noise I am making, or the faces that I make while making the noise. He laughs and gets excited, but it usually stops his screaming. Of course after a couple of minutes though it gets tiring. And a couple of minutes after I stop he starts screaming again.
I can’t wait for him to grow out of this phase. And I know Marcia is feeling the same way because she has to deal with it more then I do.
Picture Day
Marcia and I finally took Nigel to have some professional photos done. He actually didn’t get many taken by himself, since we were splitting the sitting with Marcia’s sister Paula and her son Ryan. And also their sister Catherine joined in on a couple. Marcia and I also had some pictures taken with Nigel. And Nigel was an absolute dream. He smiled without hesitation, and seemed to enjoy the attention. My brother-in-law David even said he was working the camera like a professional model. And no, he didn’t scream at any point when we were there.

My brother-in-law David POSTED about this about a week ago, and I joined the fun a little before that. What LaLa.Com is, is a CD trading site. You list the CD’s you are willing to trade, and then list the CD’s you are looking to get. Then LaLa does the rest. They give you postage paid envelopes that are big enough to stick the cover art (front and back), and a slim protective case for the CD. They charge $1.75 for every CD you receive. Obviously part of that covers the shipping supplies and the postage. But part of it actually goes to the artists, or whoever collects the royalty checks.
So far I have sent off nine CD’s, and have ten that I have either received or are in transit to me.
Hockey DAY in Canada
So we are used to the term Hockey Night in Canada, right? Well, the NHL has set up a great day of hockey for the country of Canada. Though any hockey fan will be able to enjoy it if they get CBC or the Center Ice Package.
At 2:00 ET we begin with the Montreal Canadiens heading up to Ottawa to take on the Senators. Then at 7:00 ET the Vancouver Canucks going to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. Finally at 10:00 ET, the battle of Alberta with the Calgary Flames visiting the Edmonton Oilers.
Three games, all back-to-back in one day. I guess now I understand what college football fans feel during the bowl season.

I’m not remembering the screaming phase (except in the first month), but mimicing Lydia did distract her, at least until she got to the point where she realized that iI was acting “inappropriately” (e.g., wearing her hat, using her pacifer), which was just confusing to her.
