Scooter Chronicles

Last week Marcia was suffering from back pain. She had wrenched her back while reaching for a diaper. This week it’s my turn.

I was feeling a little back pain the last two days, but this morning while handing Nigel off to Marcia it became severe pain for about 15 minutes. I was about to walk out the door for work. I ended up sitting down for about 20 minutes before I left, though it took me two minutes to get to the chair.

Marcia and I are thinking that this is coming from not holding Nigel correctly. It’s not a lifting thing, or so I don’t think. He is not that heavy, and we don’t bend over that far to pick him up, other then when in his vibrating chair. It’s just a matter of technique,...

One heck of a game last night.

The Hurricanes did it. They had more speed. They hit harder. They blocked more pucks. It just wasn’t going to be the Oilers night.

I had mentioned a couple of times during the year that the ‘Canes looked like they were headed to the Cup Finals again. Not only did they make, they won it all.
