Now a THREE game losing streak. ARGH!!
My team sure made it close though. I lost to the first place Edmonton Bombers, 731-725. Oh well. Still in the playoff hunt, but things are getting a little too edgy now.
The mid-season draft is coming up, and I haven’t looked to see if there would be some very good help available. We can get rid of up to three players and draft replacements. I know there is one player that I will be giving up, that being Matthew Richardson of the Richmond Tigers. He was the first player I ever drafted. There is a report from some researchers at Oregon State saying that they have done studies that link prostate cancer prevention with beer. The article also reiterates that lycopene, found in tomatoes, also has been linked to prostate cancer prevention. So that means pizza and beer is good for your health!!
OK, so not really. You can read the quick ARTICLE about the study that found xanthohumol, a compound found in hops, can help prevent prostate cancer. But the amount needed to make a difference is equal to about 17 beers a day.
