Everyone these days seem to be embedding videos from YouTube.Com into their posts. Just a couple of days ago, David sent me a link to a video of one of our favorite bands King’s X performing their song “Dogman” on the John Stewart Show back in 1994. It’s a great version, nice and powerful (they are a power-trio after all). So I figured I would test out this embedding thing with the video.
I finished it this afternoon. FINALLY! It is the short story collection by Sci-Fi master Larry Niven titled “The Draco Tavern”.
The book contains 27 short stories all based around the Draco Tavern and it’s owner Rick Schumann. All the stories are first person from Rick’s perspective. Marcia and I watched the film that has had people affectionately and despairingly calling “That Gay Cowboy Movie” last night. It garnered eight Academy nominations. “Brokeback Mountain” has been one of the most talked about and joked about movies in a long time. We decided that we had to see it.
