“MirrorMask”

Two movies in a weekend … WOO HOO!! On Sunday afternoon I watched “MirrorMask”, a screenplay written by Neil Gaiman, a great modern fantastical author. Also key to the movie is Dave McKean, who directed the film and also provided animation. Gaiman and McKean have done a few graphic books together. The movie stars Stephanie Leonidas, Jason Barry, Rob Brydon, and Gina McKee.

For those unfamiliar with Gaiman’s work, his stories blend modern urban life with fantastical worlds or happenings. In “MirrorMask” we have these two worlds coming together through the dream of the main character, Helena. And as the movie...
