So I mentioned that Marcia and I had the Jeep Cherokee towed to a local shop because it sounded like a lawn mower (Marcia’s words) and the oil pressure gage was all over the place. It appeared that we were due for some expensive maintenance. Both Jimmy (the co-worker that came over to help) and the guy at the shop said it sounds like the hydraulic lifters were chattering, meaning that there wasn’t enough oil getting to where it needs to go. That would explain the drop in oil pressure, but it wasn’t consistent with a bad oil pump. The oil level was fine, so they were a bit stumped. The guy at the shop said it might be a bad cam gear, but would have to take a look at it.

Losing Streak Now At Two

Three of my players turned in well below average performances this past weekend. Tyson Edwards of the Adelaide Crows came in with 79 points, though he is nursing an injured ankle. Shane O’Bree of the Collingwood Magpies only managed 63 and Andrew Embley of the West Coast Eagles only managed 54. Yikes! I do know that players are going to underperform. It happens all the...

On Saturday, Marcia and I watched “Guess Who?” starring Ashton Kutcher, Bernie Mac, Zoë Saldaña, and Judith Scott.

For those movie-buffs out there, or those that have watched the classics, this is an obvious role reversal of “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” which starred Sidney Poitier, Spencer Tracy, and Katharine Hepburn. In this “remake” of sorts, we have parents Percy and Marilyn Jones renewing their wedding vows for their 25th anniversary, and their daughter Theresa, who lives in New York, is bringing her boyfriend Simon Green to meet the family.
