Last night Marcia and I finished watching a “best of collection” of the BBC show “Not the 9 O’clock News” starring Rowan Atkinson, Mel Smith, Griff Rhys Jones, and Pamela Stephenson. This collection was a two volume set which we rented from Netflix. Both discs contained four episodes, but we are not sure if they were deemed the best episodes, or if the editors mashed together material for four episodes worth on each disc.

Exciting Indy 500 Finish
I kept an eye on the Indy 500 Sunday while doing chores. An exciting finish, as Sam Hornish Jr. passed Marco Andretti at the finish line to win. Marco is Michael’s son, meaning Mario’s grandson. Michael came out of retirement this year and was leading with three laps left. Then Marco passed him. Then Hornish passed him, too. As they started the final lap, it appeared that Marco had it in the bag. But the 19 year old in his first Indy 500 got to feel the sting of the “Andretti Curse.” Exciting race.
