And the streak is over!

ARGH!!

This past week was a special game. The owner/GM of the Jersey Shore Crushers, who is actually from Philly, asked to set up a Memorial Day weekend game that we will play every year the league is in existence. He titled it the “War at the Shore”, stating that everyone from Philly goes to the Jersey Shore during Memorial Day weekend (like Marcia and I did). He even came up with a logo for it.

So our hope is that it would be a good game. And boy was it ever. I scored 863 points …… AND LOST!! The Crushers came up with 896! (At least I am still the only team that...

Marcia, Nigel, and I headed off to Atlantic City yesterday. It was Marcia’s idea to enjoy a little of the beach life for the holiday weekend.

Traffic wasn’t the greatest getting there, but it wasn’t the usual holiday traffic. It seemed like everyone was headed to the Philadelphia Zoo. Once we got passed that exit, it was smooth sailing. Even when we went by the stadium complex, which was hosting the men’s college lacrosse final four (with UMass upsetting Maryland and Virginia beating Syracuse), there was no one.

We spent the first half hour looking for bottles for Nigel. Dummy me forgot them. I had them packed into a nice Tupperware type container and forgot to grab it. With that tragedy averted,...
