For those of you that don’t know, there were two baseball players last week that gave great examples of how all ballplayers should be. They both showed how more important their team is and aren’t just out for themselves.
The first candidate is Aaron Rowand, centerfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies. In a game against the Mets last week, they get into a jam and load up the bases with two outs in the top of the first. Mets’ Xavier Nady hits a long, hard shot to center and appears it going to be extra bases giving the Mets an early lead. With the second set, I am going to go backwards. First we have the pictures of Nigel’s first trip to a zoo. My parents took Nigel, Marcia, and I to the Detroit Zoo on Friday.
As you can see, Nigel was thoroughly excited when we got there.

He woke up soon after though.

Just in time for the train ride, I might add.

And he seemed to enjoy the train ride.

Given email problems, I haven’t gotten many pictures from my parents from our visit last week. So I am going to post the best of what I have and the few that I got from them.
First, we have the mini-van that took us there and back. It was a Chevy Uplander. For those of you that care, it is basically a Chevy Venture with a new front end and name.

It was surprisingly quite nice. Though it lacked from power sometimes going up those mountains along the PA Turnpike. But after dragging everything with us back and forth, and having to pop in the back to check on Nigel while on the road, I can see the appeal of mini-vans for families.
