While on vacation, I finished reading the short story collection titled “Black Juice” by Margo Lanagan.

This book kept popping up at Amazon, either as a book that was bought by others who also bought the book I was looking at, or in my recommendations. I had been interested in it for a while, but kept putting the thought aside due to wanting to read novels. Finally with my switch to short stories because of being too busy, this came quickly to the top of my list again. Then Amazon was selling remainders of it for $4.99, the hardback edition. Well, you know me.

Another streak continues. My team has won six games in a row out of the gate. Not bad, if I say so myself.

I had two players come up with over 140 points this week. Those being Cameron Bruce of the Melbourne Demons and Chad Cornes of the Port Adelaide Power. Although it really meant little. I won by 343 points. It helped that I played Napa Valley, who is the lowest scoring team in the league. (It appears that the guy that runs the team isn’t paying attention.) This week I play Toronto.

That Was Fast! - Part 1
It only took Marcia and I a little over 10 hours to get home yesterday. Nigel was doing really well in the car. He seems to really enjoy the view. A couple of times, though unsafe (I know, you don’t have to lecture us) she would take him out of his car seat to burp him. (We found that feeding him while driving saved time.) The whole time he would be looking around and jabbering. And even while in his seat, he seemed to be enjoying the scenery.
