Scooter Chronicles

After seeing the post about the 50 Worst Albums, and after talking just a couple of days ago with a fellow co-worker about Traffic’s “John Barleycorn Must Die” (which he borrowed and has not gotten back), the fact that my music collection has some holes has had me thinking. There are certain bands that I have heard what I liked, but have only one album, or worst yet none. So who are they?

Traffic - Led by the very young and talented Steve Winwood. He co-founded Traffic when he was 19 years old, and had already gained acclaim from his four years with the Spencer Davis Group. I have nothing from Traffic and honestly don’t think that their greatest hits collection “Smiling Phases”...

So you are going to think that I am reading again at a fast pace. But I am not. I started this book a few weeks ago, and was reading it at the same time as the last book I reviewed. Anyway, two nights ago I finished reading through the short story collection titled “The Fantasy Writer’s Assistant and Other Stories” by Jeffrey Ford.

This is the third book of Ford’s that I have read in the last year. I have had a chance to read a few of his short stories on his web site, before coming across this collection. One of them is actually in this collection (”At Reparata”).
