50 Worst Albums
This is starting to daisy-chain, but oh well. I saw it on Roger’s BLOG, who saw it on another blog. It was a published list of the 50 Worst Albums. Surprisingly, I don’t have any of them. Many of them I don’t have an interest in getting. Though two of them I have almost bought in the past. And one of those I still intend to get. That being Tin Machine’s second album “Tin Machine II”. For those of you not familiar, that band was comprised of Hunt and Tony Sales who happen to be the sons of Soupy Sales. They were the rhythm section. The guitarist was Reeves Gabrels. And the singer was a relative unknown guy by the name of David Bowie. ; )

My Raise
So what is a promotion worth to my employer? Well I was shocked. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. I even felt that my boss was setting me up during my performance review to expect a smaller raise then I got last year, which didn’t sit well with me this last week while waiting to get to the money discussion. (My employer does performance reviews one week, then follows up the next week with what our actual raises will be.)

So my promotion was worth 10%! I couldn’t believe it. I figured that even if my fears were wrong the best I would do was 7%. This will help Marcia and I get ourselves in a better financial situation. Of course we have to be careful and continue down the budgetary road we are already on. That will only make this sweeter.

Flyers and Wings Both Down 2-1
I have not watched any of the Wings series, and just enough of the Flyers series. Actually, I saw too much of the first two Flyers’ games. Boy did they stink! Last night however, they started playing closer to their potential. Credit to coach Ken Hitchcock in sticking with Robert Esche in goal. A bold move that probably paid off in team confidence. Especially given that they got down a goal very early in the game … AGAIN! But they quickly replied with a short-handed goal, and it was back to the ol’ Flyers that dominated from time to time this season. Hopefully both teams can convert in Game 4 to even their respective series.
