Scooter Chronicles

Over the months I have had a few new beers, just haven’t gotten around to posting about them. So here is the rundown:

Stegmaier Porter
One of the local beer stores (reminder, in PA you can only buy beer at a beer store) they were carrying these samplers of Stegmaier’s from the Lion Brewery in Wilkes-Barre. The cool thing about it was it came in a nice wooden case, with the logo painted in red with black drop shadow, looking very 1920’s-1930’s. I figured it was worth the money for the wooden case alone. But the porter also made it worth the purchase. It was very smooth and a little smokey.

Another win for my team. Three straight now. Not a bad way to start the season.

The game was kind of close, and what helped my opponent was his “emergency” players. We start eight players, and if for some reason one of them doesn’t play, those doing the scoring will take the first substitute in line (we have to tell them the order). Brendon Lade of the Port Adelaide Power came up with 115 points in his emergency roll. The final score was 826 to 776. Six of my eight players scored over 100 points, with Cameron Bruce...
