I was trying to think of a good April Fool’s Day joke to post. Meaning posting something that happened to me or that I was doing that wasn’t true. But I couldn’t come up with anything. Well, anything beyond, “Marcia and I Win the Lottery!” But given my recent post about North Carolina’s introduction into the lottery world, I figured it would be too obvious.

Being a science fiction and fantasy fan, I tend to stop by Locus Magazine’s web site from time to time. Now talk about good April Fool’s jokes. Every year I actually get sucked into one. They usually post four to six fake articles, and one is bound to catch my eye. It isn’t...
