Opened Up My Big Mouth
I am thinking that Marcia and I are jinxing ourselves with Nigel. Every time I post that he is doing better, or Marcia tells someone he is doing better, then he has a couple of bad days. Yesterday was one of them.
We had to go pick up some music for Marcia at a school in Bryn Mawr. She is the musical director for their productions. The person that was supposed to bring the music was late, and the whole time, other then the last 5 minutes, Nigel was cranky and crying. Even while we were trying to feed him there.
Then when we got home, we fed him again, with rice cereal, and yet he still was cranky. He finally fell asleep in my arms, and sure enough, as soon as I laid him in the bassinet he was crying again. That continued for almost an hour. He quieted down when I put him in his crib and cranked up the mobile. But that only plays for about 3 minutes. Eventually it was time for him to eat again. When he was done he was asleep very quickly. The problem was that I was long passed tired and Marcia was already asleep.

Given the time difference and other things happening yesterday (see above), I didn’t get to see any of this game. Glad I didn’t. The US needed a third period goal to get the tie. What a bunch of underachievers.
One the good side of Olympic hockey, Slovakia upset Russia. Seeing as they are in the US’ group, it will help with qualifying for the medal round. So long as they don’t flub anymore games like that.
