Nigel still has his crying fits, and they are getting louder, but he has taken a few steps the last two days that give Marcia and I hope that the constant crying will end soon.
On Sunday night, I laid Nigel in his bassinet because I needed to get a few things to prepare for the usual evening vigil of rocking him asleep. Well a funny thing happened. He was perfectly content just laying in the bassinet. So I left him there. Sure enough, ten minutes later he was asleep.
Then yesterday morning/afternoon, Marcia was playing with him on the couch. He was cooing and smiling, then just closed his eyes and fell asleep. Later when I came home, Marcia ran to the drug store. During the 40 minutes or so that she was gone, Nigel either sat in my arms, or laid on the couch, making all kinds of noises while smiling and laughing.
We know that things will change. But we are very glad to see light at the end of the tunnel now.

I’m so glad to hear things are getting better for Nigel and ultimately for Mom and Dad, too.
