Hurricane Warning Out East!

I haven’t watched any hockey for about two weeks now, but this caught my attention.

The Carolina Hurricanes acquired Warren, Michigan native and Warren Woods Tower alum Doug Weight yesterday. The Canes, who at the time of this trade, have the best record in the NHL (though the Senators had three games in-hand) are making a show for “small market” teams. I am sure all the GM’s and coaches of teams in the Eastern Conference all used a few bad words when they heard about this. I tend to agree with Scott Burnside in his ARTICLE on ESPN’s web site that the Canes are slowly becoming favorites...
