I feel so far removed now from the auto industry, but I have decided to sound off on a couple of things. I stumbled across some pictures on the Detroit Free Press web site of concept cars that will be shown at the North American International Auto Show held annually in January at Cobo Hall in Detroit. I looked because David had mentioned that Chevy was trying to follow Ford with bringing back an old legendary look with modern twists, and wanted to see what they came up with. Unlike Ford with the Mustang, Chevy literally brought the Camero back from the dead.

According to this ARTICLE from ESPN’s web site, the Tampa Bay Lightning have placed team captain Dave Andreychuk on waivers.
It is amazing how when forced to worry about salary, that even the most respected player on a team, even one that will more then likely end up in the Hall of Fame is doomed to be sent packing if he doesn’t produce after half a season. I understand the Lightning’s position on this, especially given Andreychuk’s age. But it’s a shame that the stupid salary cap is dictating this line of thinking that no one should be spared.

Over the course of about three weeks, Marcia and I got through the 7 episodes that make up the first season of the US version of “The Office”. This stars Steve Carell in the office manager role made famous on BBC by Ricky Gervais.

Yes, you read that correctly. This is based off the successful BBC show of the same name. And unlike the horrid US version of “Coupling”, this one is actually good. It is done in a documentary style, and is following how the employees are handling news that their office is one of two facing closure during company downsizing.
