The Wings managed to remain the only team in the NHL that has yet to go through the farce called “shoot-out” last night. Of course they did it by playing bad hockey and with Mathieu Schneider taking a penalty in overtime.
The first period, they actually looked pretty good. The Panthers were playing well too, making me figure that it would be a pretty well fought game. But the Wings just didn’t have the snap they needed. They also blew a golden opportunity late in the second period. They had a power play with a majority of it at the end without a stoppage.
