Yzerman’s #19 to the “Rafters”
Saw this ARTICLE on the Detroit Free Press web site. It essentially says that Team Canada is going to “unofficially retire” #19 in honor of Steve Yzerman. How cool is this?! This is the first time I have ever heard of something like this with the national teams, though one would assume that #99 is retired for Gretzky as it is league wide in the NHL.

It was always a nice tribute by Joe Sakic, another totally classy player and future Hall of Famer like Yzerman, to always wear #91 for Team Canada whether Yzerman was on the team or not out of respect for...
