Marcia took the Munchkin Man (meaning Nigel) to a doctor’s appointment today. The main thing was to check his weight. A couple of days after his birth he had only lost 2 ounces, which is very good. (We were told that babies usually lose as much as half a pound after birth.) But one week later, all he had gained was those 2 ounces back. So they wanted us to bring him in again just to check. He is now one full pound heavier then he was at birth, which made the pediatrician very happy. (And his Mom and Dad.)
We also had been worried about his eating habits and a raspy, congested sound he has after eating. The pediatrician said that the amount that he is eating is good, though all babies are different. And as for the congested...

Last night I watched the Red Wings’ game on OLN. They were playing the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Wings looked great, dominating just about every aspect of the game. Chris Osgood faced very few shots (only 17), but had to come up big a few times. Unfortunately he lost the shutout bid in the final minute of the game. Henrik Zetterberg scored twice, the second being a SPECTACULAR short-handed goal. It is amazing that drafting so far down the line the Wings still find guys like him and Pavel Datsyuk. The final score was 3-1.
But what was more important was OLN playing part of Jiri Fischer’s press conference yesterday, the first time he addressed the media since his near-death experience at the end of the Wings bench back...
