I am sure all you Red Wings fans know already, and probably most NHL fans, but Jiri Fischer collapsed on the end of the Wings bench tonight and was administered CPR with seven and a half minutes left in the first period.


Red Wings’ Jiri Fischer earlier this season celebrating an overtime-game winning goal against San Jose.

Reports are that he had as seizure and was taken to Detroit Receiving. He is in stable condition and responsive. Very bad memories are brought back when Chris Pronger of the St. Louis Blues collapsed at the Joe during a playoff game in 1998.

As I MENTIONED before, Marcia and I went to Dunderbak’s and I picked up some beer to try. I got six different bottles and have recently tried four of them. The other two will follow soon, though I have had a few times before and the other is awaiting Marcia to become “un-pregnant” so she can try.

The progress on Nigel’s arrival is … well, progressing. Marcia’s appointment went well. During the examine (excuse the graphic nature) the doctor could feel Nigel’s head. So it is well in position to be heading out. No pun intended.

No date to be induced has been set, but it appears that next week is certainly a “go”, though it would not surprise the doctor and his staff if they get the call from us sooner.

As always, we will keep everyone informed as details become available.

Last night Marcia and I watched “The Game” starring Michael Douglas. This was about the third or fourth time I have seen the movie. It was Marcia’s first time.
