It is pretty amazing. The Wings looked totally flat, yet still found a way to score 5 goals. They were UP by two goals starting the third, and with 7 minutes left in the third they were DOWN by two goals. Then they scored two with minutes of each other to send it to OT. Damn lucky. Osgood looked pretty good despite giving up 6 goals. The defense was really dogging it sometimes.

Oilers’ Jarret Stoll (left) and Steve Staios celebrate the game winning goal in overtime.

A few other observations:
It was packed last night at Rexall Palce in Edmonton. Yet the crowd sounded like they were watching the Masters’. Even when the Oilers were coming back and taking the lead in the 3rd, they weren’t getting too terribly excited. The night before at the Saddledome in Calgary, fans were acting like it was Game 2 of the Cup Finals.
Also, did anyone else notice what Marcia noticed last night? The PA announcer at Rexall Place sounded an awful lot like The Joe’s own Bud Lynch.
The “Thank You Fans!” lettering on the ice, just inside the blue line are slowly disappearing around the NHL. Not sure if they were only planning on having them there for the teams’ first 10 homes games or what. I am trying to find out more. It kind of ticks me off. I think they should have kept that there all season long. Of course that’s just my opinion.

you dont market all your drug, you only market the first dose after rehab
Once fans are hooked it could minus well be written ‘you’re all doomed’ for all people care
at any rate, im hooked and happy. I was unhappy when it was away but thats long gone (oddly nuff, it sure feels that way)

Good point Cody. My wife got a good laugh out of that as well.
