Almost forgot about this one. And a good move by the Phils. Too many times, just in the few years I have lived here, Ed Wade didn’t make the moves needed to get them over the top. Now they have someone that has a history of doing that.

The Wings win streaks ends at 9. And it is only their second loss in the first 14 games. Not bad for a team that is used to spending over $70 millions on payroll.
They played well enough to win, but just couldn’t get it done. Or is that “git er done!” The Oilers scored a goal in the first five minutes of each period, and the Wings answered with goals 3 to 4 minutes after. And after each Wings goal, they sent another flurry of shots following the ensuing face off. But they weren’t creating great scoring opportunities off of them.
