Wanted to wish all of you good luck that entered the Nigel birthday pool. As I mentioned, we will be giving a prize to the winner(s). The exact prize is unknown at this time. Actually we figured that we would make it more personal and choose something appropriate for the winner after.
Now for a bit of bad news for some participants. It appears that Marcia is further along then originally expected. She and the baby are measuring as much as four weeks ahead. As I mentioned before, her doctor will not let patients go beyond the due date. Well now he has moved up his “won’t let go past” date to December 2nd. Sorry, but thems the breaks gang. That was why we moved up the cut-off date of the pool. I suspect now that Nigel will probably arrive before Thanksgiving. I didn’t change my guess, though I have the power to do so (insert evil laugh here). Regardless, Marcia and I are not going to let our guesses count.
Another interesting bit happened last night. Marcia had something happened that warranted calling her doctor. After talking to him, it was feared that she ruptured the membrane that helps hold the amniotic fluid in the uterus. We went to the hospital to have it checked out and thankfully found out that it was a false alarm. It seems to happen from time to time to pregnant women. We were both a little nervous with her only being “officially” 30 weeks along. But we were also optimistic that it was a false alarm. The biggest problem last night was that we were both starving when we go home.

Thanks for the reply on my blog, so I thought I’d return the favor. A December baby, huh? Thats what I am, but heres to hoping you guys dont have stingy relatives who will give the kid combo birthday/christmas presents. That was always a bummer. And yes, Close to the Edge rules.
