The game almost got out of hand very early. The Wings had six power plays in the first period and converted on three of them. OUCH!! The Flames were playing very sloppy. Two of the penalties were double minors for high sticking. Hard to believe it was the same team that made the Finals last season.

The Wings are looking good so far, winning their first three games. Much better then I expected. It helps that in two of those games their opponent was playing bad. Still it shows promise that the Wings may not slip that far from the top teams.
