This afternoon I finished “Fevre Dream” by famed wordsmith George R. R. Martin. He is the author of the highly acclaimed “Song of Fire and Ice” fantasy series. He was also a story consultant on the TV show “Beauty and the Beast” and on the “Twilight Zone” as well in 1986. This book was first published in 1982.

Again, I rely on Amazon.Com to supply a description:

When struggling riverboat captain Abner Marsh receives an offer of partnership from a wealthy aristocrat, he suspects something’s amiss. But when he meets the hauntingly...

Thank you David!

He updated my web site to the latest WordPress software. He also fixed a link problem with the categories. As you can see on the right hand side, there is a calendar that will link to the posts for that day. You can also get the pages of the site from there, too. And he changed the scroll-overs to the links.

Looks snazzy, don’t it? : )

U2 - “The Unforgettable Fire”

Tracks:

  1. A Sort of Homecoming
  2. Pride
  3. Wire
  4. The Unforgettable Fire
  5. Promenade
  6. 4th of July
  7. Bad
  8. Indian Summer Sky
  9. Elvis Presley and America
  10. MLK

This is U2’s fourth studio album, and the one that grabbed my attention. Sure, the album before, “War”, was seeing a lot of air-time, especially the songs “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and “New Year’s Day”. I like those tunes, but just didn’t really see what all the huge fuss was about....
