A group of 11 of us headed out to the Fuji Japanese steak house for dinner tonight. It was a good time, as expected. It was better then our experience at Kyoto’s in Williamsburg, where it was 92 degrees outside with very high humidity, but felt cooler then being in the building. Just being cooler wasn’t the only thing that made it better. There was only two tables in a room, so it made it more intimate. Plus the food was better. It was BYOB. David found a six pack of Red Hook Nut Brown Ale, and for only $6!
We had desert at the restaurant, and it was alright. Marcia and I each had the fried ice cream. Similar to that at Chi-Chi’s. But the ice cream was green tea ice cream. Not the best. They also didn’t serve coffee, so all those that normally like a cup after dinner were Jones-ing big time, so we went to Starbucks across the way. I had a piece of crum cake and a bottled water. (By the way, the cake was really good.)
As I said, it was a good time, and I think going to Starbucks was a nice treat. Just can’t keep Marcia out too long though. Mothers-to-be have a habit of getting tired very easily.
